Was given a BMX bike today, and am trying to find out more info on it. all i found out was it is a Specialized bike, other than that, i know nothing, nor about BMX bikes.

Looks like an old Fayboy Vegas from around 2000 or so. It's the TJ Lavin signature bike and it's probably the entry level based on the one piece cranks. Looks pretty much stock. I guess it would be classified as a dirt jump/ freestyle bike. I rode BMX like it was my job till about '02 so that looks really familiar. Here's a picture of one with stickers.

i don't wear a helmet, but i dont do any of the big jumps, or go to the skate park or anything. just hit a few small jumps around my house. I also have a Razor Siege 180. nothing that great, but it got me by. it was designed for dirt also.

the kid used to be into all kinds of different stuff. was into BMX, stopped that, went to motocross, stopped that. went to quad riding, back to motocross, then got interested into little 50's. he cant make up his mind. and the have been cleaning the garage, and these were in there.
