I have a 2002 400ex and I'm having major issues with bogging. It starts up fine and idles well but when I begin to get on the gas it bogs really badly. Sometimes i can accelerate out of the problem. Also, it gets far worse after warming up and very bad after hitting a puddle. Must be electrical I assume. I've replaced the pulse generator because I thought that might be it. Any clue as to where to look next? I figure it's the coil regulator or a loose wire. Can anyone help me narrow it down? DO regulators go often on these machines? How bout the coils? Is there a common spot for a bad connection?
Thanks in advance
Chris

The only thing that hints at electrical in origin is the statement that it gets worse when wet... all the rest of your statments suggest carburetion.

hows the plug boot? try an experiment by splashing or spaying water from a pump spray bottle in and around the areas in question.
