here are the specs for hotcams stage one and two, as well as another cam i found considered a stage 2; where would the third cam fall on a hotcams scale, as far as the powerband?

Hotcams stage 1

Intake
Intake lift (mm): 9
Intake lobe center (degrees): 106
Intake duration (degrees at 1mm): 246
Intake valve lash (mm): 0.13

Exhaust
Exhaust lift (mm): 9
Exhaust lobe center (degrees): 107
Exhaust duration (degrees at 1mm): 246
Exhaust valve lash (mm): 0.15



Hotcams stage 2

Intake
Intake lift (mm): 9
Intake lobe center (degrees): 106
Intake duration (degrees at 1mm): 254
Intake valve lash (mm): 0.13

Exhaust
Exhaust lift (mm): 8.9
Exhaust lobe center (degrees): 104.25
Exhaust duration (degrees at 1mm): 248.5

other stage 2

I'm thinking the other cam is for a 440 or bigger, and will give the motor a great midrange with a monster top end.

Those "other stage 2" specs match the WebCam 479 grind.

Yeah, you will have to use short valve guides, and probably hd springs and rockers with that last one.
