I've been wanting something other than the same old ***** for about 5 years and the Polaris' look like the answer. God knows, there is nothing else out there in the weight and power area of a Banshee and thats what I'm looking for and I think the 525s is it. I'm buying a new quad probably in the spring if not this fall. I really like the new look of the 09's. I can't really find out much about the rear shock on the 525s or 450. I looked in the 09 Tucker Rocky book and Fox isn't showing a rear shock for either model. I assume they both have the Podium X rear shock on them stock that Fox sells aftermarket. Am I wrong?

I have been comparing also.

Yes both 450 and 525 have Fox podium X on rear. 450 also has them on front. 525s has fox podium on front. Only other differences I have noticed is tires and size of topend.

The rear shock on the 09 450 is shorter tha the 525 to achieve a long ride height.

So the 450 has a shorter back shock than the 525s?

Yes on th 09 models they shorten the rear shock length to obtain a lower ride height with loosing any travel.

I heard about this also but did not know it was only the 525s. I thought it was both SRA. I also heard the stock valving changed in the fronts.

The valving and spring rates are different on all the models. The shorter rear shock is only on the 450
