bought a bike thats already built...im going thru the jetting and need to know if im close?
2005 motor = 13.1 piston, stg 2 cam, full esr exhaust, twin air filter, open air box...runs 110 octane about 500 ft above sea level

main jet - 215
pilot - 48
a/f screw - 2 1/2 turns out
needle in stock position

it stalls for a split second at idle when stabbing the throttle now...plug looks a tad rich, but runs great on the top end

post up what your set ups are if you have the same mods

By and R&D adjustable leak jet cover so u can easily fine tune your leak jet and youll be fine.http://www.magicracing.com/RD-Racing-Keihin-Power-Pump-Accelerator-Cover_p_80-4879.html

Wrong carb.

04/05 carb no leak jet. It's not an FCR.

Your main sounds way rich, and everything else is lean.

I'd start with:

185 main
50 pilot
needle on 4th or 5th clip down
2 1/2 turns out on mixture screw and go from there. You may need a 52 pilot as well.

Dont forget just because it has performance mods doesn't always mean you need a larger jet. You need to consider the vacuum pulse put on the carb.

I've seen 520 Nmotion bikes running 155 mains.

Main jet is to rich and your pilot is lean if this is a stock carb

185-190 main max
50-52 pilot.

The 04-05 carb doesn't have a leakjet or changable pup cover

I'm running VP C12 on a 14.25:1 480, ported head, +2 exhaust +1 intakes, 42.5mm taper bored 05 crf fcr, & dasa intake & pipe. I run a 50 pilot w/ screw about 2 1/4 out. My main is still fairly lean at 215...

I havent been spending too much time on the net Prorider.I only raced 1 time this year and 1 practice day.The cost of everything this year is putting a beating on everyone/$150 just in diesel to travel never mind race fuel, race entries, and on and on.Its gonna be even better putting oil in the tank this winter!!!!I look at the bright side no winter overhaul this year.So my DRG Build will be good another year!!!LOL!!!!

thats a bummer only getting out that little, and diesel is outrageous...

i have a 13:1, no lid, no baffle, hrc cam. my bike came w/ a 200 and 48 with the clip on the 5th. plug looked nasty, put in a 52 and dropped to a 190, bottom end came up, and top end is unreal.

the bike ran ok before. after I rejetted it ran 10x's better

EDIT: will the 06'+ carbs fit an 04-05'? is it worth it?

Yea, they will fit with an adaptor. Dasa & venom both make very nice ones
And hell yea it's worth it. I picked up almost 4hp over stock carb
