01 ex with full hmf, stage 2 hot cam, 11:1 compression. KN filter with out lid (Outerwear's on both.)

40 pilot (42 was terrible rich)
4th clip down
165 main

It hesitates and loses power, when its warmed up and running mid to full trottle.
When the engine is cold its like a raped ape then it dies as it gets warm. Sound Rich?

Also why is it when people add stuff they richen the main and pilot but lean out the mid? *Honda #4* went to 2 on the clip?

Yeah its prob runnin rich. I think you are rich on the needle. Go up one or two positions. Since the needle runs through the main, it also gets richened when you go up in the main. So when you went to the 4th clip down with a 165 main, its just getting too much fuel at mid rpm.

Thats where I had my midrange power dont ask me why but I thought i'd end up on like the 4th slot or something but I guess not. It has a slight hesitation when idling so I gotta tweak my A/F alittle or I may have to go down one size on th pilot.
