when i bought this r it had carburetor issues...the main thing was when i hit fourth gear, it would lose all power...it was a stock carb and the guy who had it before me had a 138 main and a 35 slow...my first impressions were that it was jetted way to low so i started back to the oem jets thinking that it may have not been getting enough fuel...after i put them in, still the same problem...i bought a 36mm duncan carb put it on and now it is even worse...it will not idle unless i turn the adjustment on the choke wide open, and now i have no power in any gear..this motor was just rebuilt so i dont think its in the motor...the new carb is jetted with a 160 main, 55 slow...im no expert by no means on these carburetors so if any has had this problem or has any ideas please let me no..i also tried moving the clip position down...

today i took the head off and check the piston and cylinder walls..there wasnt one scratch and the piston looked like i put it in yesterday...i looked at the reeds and they also looked brand new...after it ran for about 5 minutes it ran awesome..like it was a completely different bike...but still not alot of topend power

power-valve gummed up with exhaust oil, or have damaged o-rings? as in not allowing it to open and close freely?
