Replace Starter On Raptor 660

replacing my starter and noticed that the first gear in the cover has some slop in it. is this normal? is it supposed to be tight with no play? scared i'll FU the new starter throw because that first gearwheel is loose-bout a 1/8" movement. HELP PLEASE

Idk i would go ahead and put it in. From my experience with starters they all slop a little, the starter isn't putting out enoug power to screw with the metal gears.
