Most Popular ATV?

A while back I got to thinking that the 400ex has to be one of the most popular ATVs ever made. I mean 1999-2008 just think of how many people bought one. What do you think? I can't think of another ATV as popular (only ATV that comes to mind is the shee) and as good all around at the 400ex is.

As popular as the 250r was/is I don't think they made nearly as many. :blah:

They didnt make nearly as many, but the 250r is definately one of the most popular. Its more well known than the 400 is.

That's true. 250r I've herd is a great handling beast. If I had a ton of money I'd build one just because I don't see that many racing.

its still one of the most sought after used utility atv and carries the best (used)retail value. at least in my geographic location.

i aint gonna go there with the sport atv's. :rolleyes:

Those were very popular also.

I would say the 400EX has been one of the most popular selling sport quads.

But who knows what has sold the most.

I think we'd have to look at single year numbers.
To be fair there are a lot of quads that went unchanged for many years.
And there were some that would still be selling if they were still made.

agreed, 250r/400ex

then theres the banshee/warrior who have been in production alot longer.

according to quad magazine the 400ex is the best selling sport quad of all time

I would have to say 250r definetly, even though honda only made it for 4 years, but the aftermarket raced it until 04 and aftermarket nearly everything for most of those years. Everybody, I mean everybody knows what a trx250r is, maybe the new younger riders don't. They tend to follow along with what they see in races. For the best selling factory framed new sport atvs, 400ex, banshee, 300ex and warrior are ones that come to mind. Yes, the 250r is more popular than them, but really? how many of them are using a stock frame or ever had a stock frame?
