My friend had his 350X motor in a 250R chassis and he sent it to Powroll for the 426 kit, stroker, port, cam ect ect...And i had my motor ported, rev kit,cam,11:1 pistion and i smoked him off the line but his was very compatible in the top end with mine

I have to disagree. I have a 350x in a 250x frame that has been built to a 452. It has been built for flattrack racing and is geared for topend and I think it has all kinds of low end power. I can almost pull 3rd gear holeshots. When I go trail riding, I can go up a hill a gear higher than what I should be and the motor will just keep on lugging up it with no problems.

no i dont think they match a stock 400ex but they should be a great improvement...im puttin one together right now..everntually im going to install one of powrolls kits maybe 450 and tune it for the woods no high comp or nuthin and add a Goki elec start kit then i should be able to kick some serious arse in a harescramble

About how much money do you estimate it costs to do this conversion?

a 350x motor can be a beast, its 6 speed and a kick-starter. But watch out for too much compression! A friend of a friend broke his leg starting his

It is my opionion having riddin 350x ,250X conversion and 400ex each week that the 350x makes more low end tourque! but my theroy on it is the 250x chassis is shorter so it tends to wheelie easier and just feels more powerful where as the 400ex is longer and may be transfering the power to the ground better. and the 350x is a 6 speed the down side is it is a bear to kick start all day!

hey does anyone have any step by step plans on how to do a 350X/250X conversion. Is it better to just do it on your own or use the kit from powroll?
