The entire bearing carrier is different. It wont work, trust me.

Try searching for 400ex 450R axle and use my username in the search. You'll find the info you need.

It wont work. Some say it will, but it will NOT.

Carrier is narrower on a 450, swingarm is too. Without changing everything, it won't work. Been there done that.

yea i am riding currently a 400ex with a 450r axle and sprocket hub it WILL NOT WORK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! it rubs on your carrier and knocks your chain off all the time adn you cant even use your stock carrier you need a aftermarket one and it will still rub and knock your chain off like i said i am currently riding it like this i know its not a good idea but i just bought me a 400ex axle and a 400ex sprocket hub and now im good but i have pics already of the problem i spoke with brian from www.team-rpm.com and he and i both agree it will work wit aftermarket carrier but will rub on the carrier and knock your chain off call him if you want

ps. just buy a 400ex axle and sprocket hub (if the axle dont come with one) and you will save money and headaches

You can put the brake rotor holder, brake rotor, brake caliper stay, and brake caliper off a 450r on a 400ex axle. I am running this on both 400ex(s).
