Not sure if anybody is interested but I thought I'd post a sneak peak of my 100% custom build.

Let me know what you think, it's a long ways from even starting.

i think its looking really good!! I was looking into HRE building me a frame but then they told me how long it would be to wait for the frame to be done so ive decided to buy one done already and build one a little later on. Cant wait to see it finished, how much longer so you think until shes ready?

Thanks,
Mike

i helped HRE with that frame on the first day or 2

kinda hard to build a frame like that for 2 motors

looks awesome, i cant wait till mike finishes my trx450r frame for my xr650r motor. last time i spoke with him a few weeks ago he had just started bending the tubing for it. im sure it will be worth the wait though. how long have you been waiting for your frame?

My frame is going on a year since he started.

Toxid, I doubt yours will take that long as it sounds a little more straight forward.

BTW, just curious if you had the funds, what would you be interested in paying for a 700xx motor if you could get one? Would you be interested?

that sucks to hear about you knee.i feel ya on getting old.i actually got outta the sport(doctors orders) to let my body heal up after a string of bad crashes which landed me in a wheel chair for a year and a half.then came back and broke my back again and all my ribs on the right side.so i feel your pain.haha

but i'm back riding now.decided to put a whole season of practice under my belt before i come back swinging at the nationals.well see how that goes next season.haha

brent still riding you said?? he been racing or just playing around??

i may be interested in a 700xx motor and throttle body setup if i could find one for a decent price, but then again i am not sure if the final drive would work since i believe it is set in the middle of the motor for the ifs.

It'll be a while till the "BUILD" starts as I still have to get the Aarms, stem, swingarm and shocks
built.

Anyway if you are close to him, you could always check it out as he's still got it.

I haven't met him yet, but talked on the phone dozens of times and he sounds like a real good guy - and as far as customer service, I'd be willing to bet that he has the best in the business. Although it may not be practical financially, he is willing to make stuff that other companies hang up on you for. His prices are reasonable.

He seems to be getting a lot of custom work which in my opinion is very innovative and requires a lot of problem solving. It also lets you put your own ideas into something.

Most companies will only sell what's on their list and won't deviate from the norm.

A number of members on here will have HRE products.

A couple of the frames I know he's made are

300ex based YZ426
400ex based YZ450
250R based 350X
450R based XR650
Mine - mix of 250R, 400ex, 450R, CRF450
Custom Trikes frames

mike is the man when it comes to doing things that the normal builder wont do.he use to build me some badass swingarms when i use to race tt(flat track) racing.i actually still have one of them in my shop.great guy, with a great mind when it comes to building race parts for quads.he'll work his *** off in order to have you bike built right the first time..

I have the trike frames. I broke or near shattered 3 atc250r frames, the one he made is holding up very nice. Mike is now building me 2 atc250r frames, hoping for cr500 links on them, one is using a atc200x motor(got a few and a worked one on the way) and crf450r motor. When I wanted a frame that would NOT break on me, I called a few places, laughed off the phone, calls not returned. He was very interested and never did one before, all he wanted was a straight, very good condition frame to copy from. I got him a like new 86 atc250r frame, it did the job. He got some business from other 3 wheeler guys and they have been very happy. When I want a frame made for my trx250r, he'll get the job.
