Protrax spindles

Anybody know how to get the spindles apart? Are the parts off the shelf or do i need to get them from laeger? I had the grease fitting out off the side and it looks like a roll pin holds the two ends together.

yea there should be a roll pin alot of people don't put it back in if they have been rebuilt before. You need to press it out and they will unscrew from each end. Then you should be able to get it from there. You should also be able to take that whole cylinderical piece ou that the grease zerk is threaded in to.It is just pressed in. That will give you more room to work with. Hope this helps

Thanks 265r. They have a little play up and down, should I try to tighten them a half turn more or add a shim to the bottom of the spindle? .125" of play. Thanks again for your help!!

half turn should be good. Thats what I did with mine and put new orings on the rod ends.
