I belive I heard corrextly, but not for sure, so someone inform me here. I heard of an FCR carb new from Hondadirect.com???Is this true? What other upgrades or modifications are needed for this to work? I am going to soon be doing some mld port/polish, cam & chain upgrades, Figured it would be best to get the carb first. Any good thoughts, suggestions? Are these the same as 450R carb? What year?

that sounds way too good to be true,

06 and newer 450r's use a 40mm FCR

to see the full benefit from the increased air flow, you will at least want, a semi-agressive cam, non restricted intake (filter and lid), a good full system, and port and polish would be to your benefit also.

man i have a hard time finding used fcr's under 225

most likely a carb from an 04/05 450r...a new fcr carb runs about $600-$700...

and the fcr carbs on the 450r's are 40 mm...

so which is the best to get? And why? Not looking to spend $600 on a carb, but I would like to have a decent carb other than stock

well, alot of people buy the 04-05 450r carbs, the 06+ are hard to tune on the 400s and are very expensive. if you wanted to, you could sink about 1000 dollars into a done up carb.
