View Full Version : jetting baseline 440kit?

Installing 440 kit on my 400ex, I have a fmf pipe,ground out the welds in headpipe, should have close to true 11/1 compression (decked)running kn filter with lid on, would like a recomendation of what size main and pilot jet to use? needle clip postion? realize I will have to read plugs etc but what have you guys found work as a baseline any help would be greatly appreciated

ok i'll get them started-- 155 main, needle in second position from top, that's a starting point

I'de say the same. Start with a 155 main, stock needle, and richen the pilot jet a few sizes.
You're really hurting power with that lid on however.
