ok i been running regular automotive mobil 10w30 red top if i remember... recently did a whole oil change since the bike dont have many miles on it. i went with mobil 1 synthetic 10w40 racing 4T for 4 stroke cycles n atvs.. heres a insert about the oil, maybe somebody can tell me why my bike is running hotter than what it did before.. i know i can't exactly go back to regular oil unless somebody tells me how.. but i been reading that Amsoil 20w50 synthetic is great oil... so looks like i probably will change over to amsoil.. any ideas why this mobil 1 synethic is makin my bike run hotter than what it had before.. ?? i haven't got a clue.

I WOULD SAY IT'S BECAUSE THE OIL IS THINNER, THEREFORE IT GETS HOT FASTER AND HOTTER. I FOR MY PERSONAL BIKES WOULD NOT USE SYNTHETIC OIL,, JUST ME,,, I WOULD USE JUST A REGULAR 20W50 OR EVEN A STRAIGHT 30.

use regular oil. synthetic oil in most quads will cause the clutch to slip.
