That 300 is sick! I like the front end.

And off topic, hows the seat on the 09 KFX? Did they soften it up any?

nope, its still hard as a brick. i will try to compare it the 2008 model and see if I can see any changes to the frame. cody says he thinks they added some support here and there.

hey prodingle, its a rough life but someone has to do it:o the worst part of it all is dealing with those little minded people that cant be happy for others because of their own failures:p sad...truly sad individuals:chinese:

usually we give them back to get newer models. i turned a z400 in today, and should get the new 2009 model when it becomes available. im sure if we wanted we could buy the unit but i personally havent had the $$ to:p

that's interesting. does the local dealers handle this type of thing. or do you deal straight with the factories?? don't mean to jack the thread. :p

Pappy

not really sure, i just get told to go here or there and pick a unit up, sometimes from other people that are media related, sometimes shops etc

I read in dirtwheels once where they said those test models they hand out, at least the once dirtwheels gets are never sold but crushed, totaled, torn apart. NO MORE. So I say beat the hell out of it pappy. Crack the frame!!

Sweet, that 300 is looking nice. I have to give you a call and talk about building one for a buddy of mine (Michael Spalding). Also, I might have trashed my engine on Thursday (oil line came off and it shut off on me after blowing out all the oil, filled her back up and let it eat for 45 minutes, definitely was running rough when I put it away :o ) Let me know if you need someone to put that KFX through some GNCC races.:D

lol..build:confused: he can bring his checkbook and buy this one..its new:p cody says he wants to chill this year a bit and ride for fun (still do the nationals) but concentrate on 09 on a bigger cc machine.

that sucks about the engine nick...my moto is stock stock stock:p going inside seems to add so many problems for XC racing and i know you dont like wrench on the engine after every race:p

prodingle, do you think dirtwheels rides hard enough to actually tear one up:p we have put test machines on the podium:devil: amd in the scrap heap:chinese:

Yeah I hear that about building engines and racing in general. I'm actually looking at hanging it up and buying a 26' center console and fishing offshore. One more year like this and I'll be running charters in the bay and offshore, and guiding for ducks and deer in the fall/winter:p I'm already crunching the numbers and it's looking more promising every day!

I'll tell you what though, that LSR frontend was working awesome! I guess I should have listened to you from the start.

LOL...well, I aint the smartest cracker in the box, I sure as hell dont know it all, but when something works I am bright enough to pick up on it most of the time:p

As far as the charter/guide......I am always availble to kill and grill:devil: Ill be on the shore all this week, staying at the old boss's farm and discussing a farm in Iowa. He has money to invest and wants me to possibly guide in the fall for deer and turkey and keep an eye on the place the rest of teh year, manage the land and what not. I know he is serious, but not sure how or if he will actually take the next steps...we will see:p

So you mean .... just before the client shoots the deer , you snap a picture, sell it to PETA for advertisement ...... after the client shoots the deer you'll snap a picture and sell it to a hunting mag?

I've always wanted to guide . I'm waiting for the fishing lodge up on the lake where my parents live to come up for sale. 6 cabins plus the main lodge and about 10 miles of lake ... great walleye, pike and bass fishing. I wouldn't mind doing that for the summers. The owners are just about ready to kick the bucket .... anytime now.

Its can be a great career, more and more folks have no idea about the outdoors or little time to do it on their own. We always go on a charter boat when we hit the beach etc.

pretty close greg, but i wouldnt piss on a PETA member if they were on fire nor would I accept money from them nutjobs:p But you do have a grasp on how I make money:devil:

Finished setting the suspension today....only a few small details to do and now time will tell how quickly Cody can bounce back after being down for so long.

Well we finally got the results back and it looks like for now, cody will not have to have the hardware removed from his leg. He is now 100% go but wont be racing until we get health insurance again:p

Pappy
08-13-2008, 02:27 PM
To bad its so dusty here that riding is downright miserable

Pappy
08-13-2008, 02:29 PM
He did maybe 15 laps and it was so bad I had to bail:p

Pappy
08-13-2008, 02:30 PM
He also has taken a liking to my KFX:eek2:

Good to hear Cody doesn't have to get the hardware removed. I don't think a couple screws will cause him much trouble and he has been down long enough right now. I'm sure he's glad to get the go ahead to ride hard.:)
