A guy at work is getting ride of his motorcycle. IT is a 2001 triumpph tt 600 its blue. IT has a slip on mapping and a k and n kit in it. HE wants 6500 for the bike and all of the accesories which also includes a jackstand. I have an 02 400ex and he said if i give him the 400ex with 1500 the bike is mine. Should i do it? the bike has 5000 miles and my ex is stock. what would you do? the bike is in great shape.

I can't see you doing much riding on a street bike for the next three months in Vermont. But you can be riding the **** out of the 400;) Your gonna have a hard time reselling the bike before spring as well. so your going to be stuck with watching it depreciate over the winter and not getting much seat time.

Your 02 EX is worth, prolly 45 to 48hun plus another 15hun? and he gets to ride all winter while you sit and look at a bike you cant ride. I don't think that is a very sweet deal unless your the one getting the 400 and 1500 cash. JMO

Well, that is the first year for the TT and it is the slowest and heaviest sportbike in the 600 class. I think he wants a little too much cash from you. If I were you, I would not do it. If you want a sportbike, wait until the spring and find a nice late 90's CBR600F3. That way, you can still ride all winter on the EX.
