Thanks guys. Its coming along...

The motor is pretty much stock right now, but I do have a head at DRG getting a full on race treatment. I also have a complete taperbored DRG carb for this beast along with obvious aftermarket full system exhaust installed and I'll be doing airbox/filter mods. This will be a full PRO built machine. I've also got lots of Carbon Fiber that is not installed in the pics.

This is a teaser.... remember??? haha...

thats an extremely nice quad. very interested in how those things run. never rode a KTM before, not even a dirtbike. never had the chance to, but would love to.

im guessin you bought it brand new or what? not sure what all comes on it new? and if ya dont mind me asking how much it ran ya??

Alright, thanks for all the comments guys! I bought the quad back in May. I unloaded it from the shop, and drove it into my shop. ( 100ft ) I have no "real time" experience on this thing in stock form and just tore it down from the get go.

I recently sold my KTM dirtbike which was a very nice bike for sure. Steps way above any other bike i've ridden. KTM really has there game strait with these machines!!!!

I paid $8500 otd for mine. :)

speaking from experience the KTM is a blast. more torque than a tractor. ergos are real good. the power is very electric and smooth. the stock shocks need setup work for your weight and riding style but thats about it. I race mine for TT and also did a harescrambles with it. granted my motor isn't stock. the attention to detail sets it apart from the other manufacturers.

Might wanna watch what you do to that head, mainly as far as porting. My buddy had his ported and it ended up making a flange for the intake have a really thin wall, and broke off. I didnt really go into detail with him because the way he explains things make him sound retarded so I just got the jist of it. Sounds like the head is already ported as far as it can go. Im probably wrong though...hes an idiot

but besides all that, very, very nice ktm...by far the best one I've seen yet.

Mine is ported. There's room for improvement with them for sure. Depends on who is doing the work also. The person doing mine does the engine for the factory Polaris team. I haven't had any engine problems so far. I'm still trying to get the jetting right though.

Not as much power as KTM hyped them up to have, but my buddy was one of the testers at redbud and did a photoshoot for a magezine on the small track at redbud this weekend...he said he was pretty impressed, liked it a lot more than his xc version

I'm curious too! Where do you race.... Maybe it's time to strike a deal and take on a dedicated Team Fourwerx rider so you can better focus on marketing the brand...:muscle:

I race in the Hayward and Weyerhaeuser area mostly, we do have a race coming up in Marshfield too.
