If I pull the oil filter cover plate off will all my oil drain out. Im wondering because its leaking oil around the cover plate and I wanna check the o- ring. So can I do this without loosing all my oil. I know im gunna loose some but how much.

it will drain, but it you tip it up on that side while you do it, you should be ok...

so if I tip the right side of the quad up in the air it wont all drain?

it shouldn't, you might lose a little, but not much

thanks..yeah I know that no matter what I will loose a little..But I just got my oil changed and didnt wanna loose all of it..

evan if you do it while sitting on all fours it dose not leak much oil but i would still add some but i had to do this for the same reason about a mounth ago

yeah i just put a jack under the right footpeg..my o ring must be shot cause as soon as the engine gets warm it leaks at the bottom of the cover plate

ya its shot as long as you have both bolts in because i lost the long blot ones and rode for a bit without it and it was leaking on the bottom but as soon as i ggot a new one it stoped leaking
