Valve clearances?

When I went to ride around tonight, I revved up my bike in first to get it going and it had very little throttle response until 3/4 throttle. It was slower than usual tonight too. Felt like a stock 400ex. At first I thought it could be the jetting because it was cooler out tonight, but now I think its definately the valve clearances. I was going to wait to finish another gas tank before getting the dealership to adjust them, but I guess I have to do it now and maybe again after its fully broken in.

How many hours are on it? I am curious as to how many hours people are getting on new ones prior to the first inspection. I have about 5 hours on mine and was considering taking it in for a dealer check on the valves.......

Also curious if anyone is sticking with the reccomended 10W-30 in the summer (85 - 100 F temps) or buming to like a 20W-50 for the heat?
