lsr steering stem

are all the steering stems the same for all years of the 400ex. i have a 2007 400ex and i bought a used lsr steering stem but it seems short. i checked with the lsr website and there is nothing shorter than standard. my problem is that it hits the cover on the gas tank. as if it was short. any ideas.

It sounds like someone sold you a stock length stem, as they do hit!

I need a stock length aftermarket stem, so keep me in mind if you sell it

Yeah my LSR seems shorter than stock too. haha weird.

mine did that also the bolts on the clamp. i just cut them off shorter
