I've got a 2007 suzuki DR-Z400s that I opened up the airbox and put an exhaust tip on it and re-jetted using mukini jets, stock it has a 36mm mukini constant velocity carb, Ive got 2 400ex carbs in my tool box one has a dynojet kit installed. My question is how would it be worth the hassle to put set up one of my kehien 38mm's? I think I could get a better throttle response out of it, I mean yeah the bike is geared fairly high but it should be able to pull off the ground at 20+mph and it doesn't. Any tips would help if any of ya got one set up.

it will help, make sure to change the intake boot too, that helps as much as the carb, if you realy want to make a change put the drz bike cam in it, with a 39mm fcr with a 400ex boot and it will be daylight and dark. thats what i ran on my z in motocross and it was as fast as the 450's on the track.
