Which handelbars?

i have an 03' 300ex an im lookin to take of that plastic piece on the handelbars and to get new handelbars. I like how the stockers feel but their really ugly. An also how hard would it be to mount the key switch on the side plastics?

I have a set of Renthal with TRX250R Bend. I have a '01 that I installed the '87-'88 TRX250X handle bar cover so I could keep the switch in factory location and the light does not look to out of place.

But mounting the key switch in the tank cowling piece is not to hard. You just have to place it toward the front where there is room behind the plastic for it. Just take a 1" hole saw and drill it out.

yah i was looking at thoes bars on their website an they look pretty good an for a resonable price. Thts the downside to doing it because like u said the light will look out of place.are the renthals any longer than stock?

I think the bars are a little longer I can get yo uthe measurements off the stock pair and the renthal part for comparison.

I just ordered the '87-'88 250X handle bar cover and bolt hole covers and installed it. It gives it the factory look.

Here another pic of it on my 250X/350X conversion but this bike has the 400EX/450R bend bars, though.

ok im a little confused. so when u say it has a 250r bend do u mean on their wesite thoes are the ones that are for the 250r? are all honda handelbars that same diameter?

OK, all factory Honda bars are 7/8" dia. bars.

Renthal, list two bars for Honda atv.

The 250R dimension are closer to the factory 300EX, then the 400EX bars from Renthal. These bars can be put on any bike you want, you just have to watch for cable and brake line binding.

Sorry, I cannot help you with that answer, I never flip with the Renthals, yet. I had them on for about 5 years though and have not had any problems.

I was on the renthal website an the sizes u gave me dont match up with theirs..they have the 400ex/450r an their "race" handelbars. which of thoes would be closer to stock? can u give me the stock demensions? thanx.

ok..yah i was looking at the "fit my bike" section for the 300ex. Iv been looking around an i cant find anywhere online that sels them. do u kno of anywhere?

The ATV Race are very wide and not much sweep.

The 250R bars ate listed as Fourtrax Bend

And the 400EX 450R bars are listed as ATV Honda/Suz/Kaw Bend

I have one more qick question. On the stock handlebars i took the bar ends off and can i take out the thing inside the handlebar that the bar end threads into or what do i have to buy to put bar ends on the renthals?

I never been able to remove the piece in the factory bars. I have hand guard on mine and it uses a system like concrete bolts and dry wall bolts.

I seen handlebar ends on Ebay before., here ia some link to a few I found under BAR ENDS.
