i want to know what 450 would be best for me

i like to ride jumps and go fast.

I would suggest to get a 04' 450r if your looking into jumping, the 04's come with piggy suspension and have the bigger carb then the new ones. Hondas are also the most durable 450 but ltr's have a little more power stock.

the new 450rs have the same shocks pretty much. The carb may be smaller but it is a fcr which is a higher performance carb.

Get yo self the ds450! they got awesome stock suspension, and a ton of power, 9% more hp then the 450r and around 2-3% more then the ltr

Ye Ds450 are the most powerful out there, I'd suggest going to dealers and trying out a test ride on all the 450's out there, the main thing is to see how you fit a quad, 70% 30% bike.

How much money do you want to spend? Do you want to buy new or used?

If new my short list would be:

KTM SX
DS 450

But if you are not actually racing:

Yamaha Raptor 700

I have a ktm450sx and its the bomb. ive never been on a race ready machine like this before it blows all the others away go kym or go Ds450x yea there pricy but think of it this way you would be puttin that much in any other quad to be really competitive. These two are my top pics.

That narrows it down to anything. How much are you willing to spend?

all 450r's can jump and go fast. Go and test ride a couple of them and make your own dicision. No one can decide which is perfect for you.

That is very true. No one can choose your quad for you. I was stuck in your shoes about a month ago. After look at what everyone had to offer I was still hesitant to buy one. Then I saw a add for the ktm450 sx and xc that helped me decide was my money going in the right bike and sure enough it was the right choice :)
