416-440 which one

i got a 440 kit now and it smokes a little...am goin to rebuild it and was wondering what kit people recommend...i mostly just trail ride...should i stick with a 440 kit or go down to the 416

id go with the 416 ...thats what i got and it keeps with 440s and more reliable

Hey i am running a 426 je makes the kit. and it rips! i have a few other mods but it will eat a stock raptor 700s lunch. but just puttin another option out there for ya to think about.

Depends, can you get away with just a new piston and rings or is the cylinder trash? If so your only looking at $100-150. If you change the bore your going to need a new sleeve etc...

i looked at the cylinder the last time i had it appart and it looked ok..at that time i didnt mess with the rings...but it has started to smoke and i just want to get it fixed and make it mean...im not worrying about cost...

I have a 400ex with a full Trinity Stage 4 Exhaust, Uni Filter, Modded airbox, down 1 size front sprocket etc etc etc. My buddy has a stock Raptor 700 and it hands me my nuts huge. How in gods name does adding 26 cc's of fury even come close to a Raptor 700??..

well my other mods include a full port and polished head, stage 2 came 13:1 compression piston 450r carb full yoshi exhaust... im also mixing my gas with half 91 half 110. believe me or not i really don't really care.
