what should i buy a 02 400ex for 2300 or a 03 kfx 400 for 2500 but needs new tires?? help me please:confused: :confused:

I'd say if the EX was in good shape and ran. EXs are pretty much bullet proof.

If you're looking for more of a lower-tech but bullet proof trailbike, the 400ex is the way to go.

If your looking for something with a little more "oomph" with more potential motor-wise, then the kfx is a good choice.

I like the kfx motor and 400ex chassis. If I had a Z/KFX 400 engine sitting around, id put it in. But not something im going to go out of my way to do.

i used a kfx400 and i actually loved it. water cooled and very torquey and fast. top end was pretty flat. but had a good amount of power. i htink the motor to the kfx was better running. like hondamaster said about tossing a kfx in the ex frame. if there was an inexpensive water cooling kit for the ex, it would be the ultimate bike. but unfortunatly not. if i had the kfx i would toss in a rev limiter, stage 2 cam exhaust and big bore and id say you have a 450 eater:D i think i could switch or buy a kfx400 and wouldnt mind it. not to mention the kfx doesnt have bruttle throttles that gives you thump pump like the ex lol

i got the guy selling the kfx to go down to 2300 and he sent me some pictures and it has a lot of stuff but kinda looks like it was kepted outside
