Dont know, I installed Veshra valves when I did my DRZ upgrade. I race harescrambles and had no issues with them yet. Dont think your gonna throw in the valves without lapping them either. A valve is a machined fit piece. You dont lap it, its gonna leak. Then youll be lucky if the bike starts at all. Just put the valves in and perform a leak test. Dump some gas into the intake and exhaust ports. If you see gas coming out around the valve seat, then its not sealed. Start lapping!!!! I think it took me about 3 hours total to finally get mine sealed. Believe me,my hands were sore from lapping!!!

Really?? Then I guess they are KB valves, the same ones my buddy insisted that dont need to be lapped??? The same valves that leaked sooo bad that his engine would barely start. When it did start, it would sputter. Then it wouldn't run worth sh*t.
YOU HAVE TO LAP THE VALVES!!!!!!!!!! PERIOD!!! Like I said in the post prior, If you dont believe me, then do a flow test. Install some new valves regardless who makes them, then dump some fuel into the exhaust or intake ports on the head. If you have leakage after 5-10 min and its barely noticeable on the valves, then you should be OK. But, if you notice leakage right off the bat, then you need to lap. 0 leakage is hard to come by, it just a matter of how much it leaks. YOU DONT WANT IT TO LEAK WITH IN A MINUTE!!!!!!

Sorry about the above statement. It sounded kinda harsh. I just dont see how you can throw valves in and expect it to work great. No lapping? I guess if its a new head with new valves. I have read that about no lapping on Z400central.com. My buddy found out the hard way.

Soooo, would you have to have your valve seats re-cut??? I understand that there coated. I know that. My question is how you gonna use them if there treated? You cant slap them in and expect them to seal.

Yes u must recut the seats do not lap a valve in.. destroys coating and wil fail alot faster
