cutting stock fenders???

i am thinking of cutting my stock fenders on my 86. just wondering if others have done this much and what you think. im also not sure where i would cut so pics would be nice. i cut my stockers on my 400ex and i loved it. seems like most people have aftermarket fenders but i dont have the $$$ for that and my stock are in good shape. or if you think i shouldnt let me know that too. thanks :D

I wouldn't hack up the stock ones if they're nice. I wait and save for some used aftermarkets to operate on. If you ever change your mind and want to go back to stock, or want more sale value, it will cost you more to replace the originals. My 2 cents...

personally i wouldnt do it. I would just get some race cut fenders already. Since stock fenders are hard to come by now

agrre'd! goed stock fenders are hard find. i'd get a set of aftermarkets that are already cut. :cool:

I think you've gotten your answer! That would be an absolute travesty to take a saw to those stock Honda plastics regardless of their condition!

service honda. I bought sets of red and white fenders. The hoods are both discontinued now though I know for sure. The red one must have been cut off within less than a year. I've tried to order it a few times hoping they'd bring it back, not that I really need it though honestly...

I say damn the torpedos and cut the factory fenders :D all my TRX's have cut front and rear fenders and i think its the best look and fit....
