What oil?

Hi i just recentally had my motor rebuilt and it cost like $480 bucks for a top end rebuild. Ive decided I need to take better care of it now since I cant afford to rebuild it very often so I was wondering what is the best oil to run and what everyone else uses and what your experiences are with it. Any help would be appreciated Thanks.

I don't think brands matter much as long as its motorcycle oil. what really matters is if you change it regularly along with the filter.

after you break it in get amsoil 20w50 motorcycle oil its the best you can buy.

after shes all worn in, change the oil and filter and run synthic. im running royal purple. right now, love it. and no need to worry, its a 4 stroke, you will rebuild a 2 stroke 3 times or more before you do a 4 stroke over

amsoil and royal purple are the best synthetic oils you can get as long as its motocycle oil either one is great i run 20w50

actually here is a text that the american society of testing and materials (astm) conducted. i actually learned alot about oil. i like it alot and dont think ill ever go back to regular oil. i was actually quite disappointed with royal purple.

wow royal purple really is not that great at all, if anything its terrible. I sure am glad that i run amsoil its like $10 a quart but worth it.

ive always used honda gn4 10w40 works great for me

hypersnyper6947 just so you know if you use enough oil it will be worth it amsoil has this preferred membership thing and you get wholesale prices it costs $20 a year but i bought a case of their 20w-50 which is usually $115 it only cost $85 with the preferred membership so i saved the $20 already not to mention if you get more oil than that for your car and what not
