Well here is the quad as it sits now, I expect to see my handlebars to show up within the week so hopefully i'll have them on this week IDK, as for buying things thats really all im doing till my wedding in November then i'm buying a full set of Razr mx's with Douglas Shamrock Billet Beadlocks cuz im sick of having XC tires on my quad. I plan on doing more painting in the near future or as soon as I get my carb dialed in right. Time for pics. If QOTM comes along these will mostly be my pics for it.

Honda#4
07-21-2008, 01:24 PM
Nope cant tip it but the rear slides out if im not careful at high speed stupid bald rear tires. I do have $125 to burn from selling some spare nerfs I had but dont know what to buy, was thinkin of the QT shock guards but also a 450r carb if I could find one cheap enough but im still thinkin.

Quad looks great man

I like your taste in the lower arms....they look a little familiar though :chinese: :p Good choice on the white decals too :D

The IMS/Roll nerf, peg, heelguard combo looks killer too! I wouldn't trade my setup for anything, it makes hard landings so much less harsh on your ankles. The heelguards have saved me many a time as well.

how much you guys spend on those a arms? what kinda shocks do you guys have? NacsMXer, sick quad, you got a side shot? i want to do blue so bad but didnt have the money for plastics. i might see if i can afford it this winter

Roll arms with Fully adj Custom Axis run around 3K brand new, I bought mine at a 50% price reduction. Just for the arms alone is $1350. I run Custom Axis shocks now however I did have a thought about running Stadium shocks in the future just to be different but would have to find more funds due to the price.

Thanks for the comments guys keepem comin.

nice man looks good. Keep up the good work. Definately need rear tires though. They help a ton. I keep my bald stockers for riding the roads in the willow trail sys. Steve

The bumper was $130 from DanaCreechRacing, the swinger will match the arms but once thats done the quad should flow pretty good, in the next year the frame will need alittle TLC so that could mean a big build up.

looks very nice. having a little extra money to blow is like being a kid in a candy store. you could easily get a 450r carb for 125 or just buy new rear tires for now.

Thanks Man, If I could i'd like to spend another 1-2K on it but I'm interested in looking for another quad for one of my spec sheet build ups. I know I probably have alot of stuff I wanna do and get done but it doesnt hurt to have things on mind, but this shows how this sport has pulled me into its black hole.

Here it is 5 years ago, it was around November when I bought it.

Here's a few pics, I guess a person doesnt realize that a sport could do all this to someone.

Actually a local kid just bought nerfs I had laying around but the only thing I have is a few stock things, clamps, plastic handlebar thingy, brakelines, Cam. I do have some shock covers but they are a tad on the dirty side.

Its a shaft like thing with lobes that open and close your valves on the top end of your quad.

Thanks Man! Just wait till the rear matches it, I read lots of old posts on here to basically get the knowlege I have right now but a few have come up to where I pretty much was doing the same thing side by side. I dont consider myself a post whore on here but I do chime in to what I feel I know and have experience with.

At home here im basically a preacher when it comes to quads, Every night I tell my wife whatever she wants to know about quads and I got a feeling that she's gonna carry the same passion as me and I hope so does are kids some day.

if you make the swinger the same blue as the a arms, then that would look wicked!
and by no means was i callin you a post whore, theres a difference bewteen posting your knowledge on a subject that can benefit the readers and jus posting to get that number on the left to go up haha

I was just saying on my behalf that when I go to post things up that I dont consider myself a post whore unlike when you get these kids on here that just post alot of nonsense, know what I mean.

Thanks for the comments.

I have to say this sport/hobby has been great to me and I couldnt ask for a better quad or website full of knowlegable people like this one has. There's so many people i'd like to thank on here for showing me the mistakes I made and for everything else.

BigBore24

And the bad part is growing up, then other things matter which means sacrifices have to be made but I guess thats life.I'm happy that i'm spending what I do on my quad then I can just reflect on what I use to do when i'm a real old fart and say I had a great life.

I just wish I could help out alot more people with quad related problems, like drive to whoever has a problem just like " Extreme Home Makeover" where they go around to people that has had there home destroyed or someone has a phyical problem something like that.

lets start an extreme exriders quad makeover team and by some kind of magic find the funds the turn busted old quads into full out race or fun ready machines. COME ON GUYS LETS MOVE THAT TRUCK!!!!!

Honda#4

I think if we donated a quad to charity I think we could get some companies to provide parts for the build.

as cool as that sounds i think half the fun of having a quad is modding it yourself and doing your own personal touches to it. buts that just me

Yea ur right just and idea though, good to see another wisconsin rider on here

I want your front end!

Honda#4
07-27-2008, 07:31 PM
In the future that could be a possibility, but for now its here to stay. If I do get my suspension business up then for sure its getting sold and i'll just buy new but with some different shocks.
