sounds like your jetting is off gracie... Does it bog or backfire when you are giving it gas or letting off the throttle??

Welcome to exriders..:D

weird sounds fine but aint got the umphh.no backfire when throtling off, no miss all through the.power range.if it was a twin cylinder i would say 1 was low on compression...pressure tested it and all valves are well ground in..
strugling to say the least

Sounds like you have a FCR carb that's just not jetted to perfection...you should definitly feel a large Ummph of power after all the mods you added to it. Does the name FCR sound famileir with what you have??

thanx for all the imput guys,,,,. it is a FCR 39 jetted by kik who specialise in this but they live 300miles from me ..

nother question .cam sprocket can it be on wrong? had lobes off cam pointing down when marks where in line.../// ??
cant see it being any other way as it would defo hit piston. ime sure. as i know u can fit sprocket either way round..

gona break it down again the weekend me thinx what jeting & needle position u think it should be -with the above mods...sorry if am going on a bit but lot a money gone in ere an ime pulling me hair out an, snow isnt that far away cant beat riding in snow as u all know....love it

you should be slighty above the stock clearance settings for the cam. stock is .004 and .005, you should be .005 and .006. the valve clearance would not cause a problem unless there were not closing fully causing a loss of compression. if your compression checks are turning up correct than this cant be it.

your carb has to be off or there is a block in the intake somewhere.

with those mods there should be a very noticable increase in power.

good luck.

is then throttle cable adjusted right? spark plug boot fully on?
too much oil can cause alot of pressure int he crankcase, is your oil level right?
