evinrude boat engine

Does evinrude make a 4 stroke 150 horse engine? My friend and his dad insist it is 4 stroke but I don't think evinrude even makes a 4 stroke. I'm thinking its one of those e-tech engines because it sure got that two-stroke smell when your driving. BTW the engine is pretty new.

so r they running straight gas through it? because i dont think its a 4 stroke

I'm pretty sure its oil injected and they bought it new so its probably still pretty full from when they got it. They are just to ignorant to realize it could be a two stroke. I will check for a oil rez. next time I see the engine.

Evinrude doesn't make a 4-stroke ... Evinrudes are E-Tec.

The motor is an injection system , yet runs better than most 4-strokes and have better emissions than most. Depending on how much they use the boat, they probably won't have to fill the injection system too often.

I deal with Evinrude everyday ...... my next boat motor will be an Evinrude E-Tec ...... great motors.
