air screw adj

question were is the adj for the air screw and when do you know that you need to adj it i have the usual budget mods and the screw is presently set factory 400ex ofcource 1999:confused:

Its on the bottom of the carb., and its a major pain in the @$$ to get to...I haven't needed to mess with mine yet, and I got a pipe. If you feel any sputtering/bogging from like 0-1/8 throttle then thats when you know you probably need to adjust it.

tx by sputtering do you mean when its cold it sounds like its back firing thrue the carb with the choke on till it warms a little at half choke it smooths out then i can turn the choke all the way off i have a 40 pilot in:confused:
