problems getting the R runninng-jetting

i have a ct 265 pv national porting with a v force 2 cage and curtis sparks mx pipe. i'm at 400 ft elevation, and it's freaking 94 degrees outside. not the best time to try and break in the R, but my yz250 is getting the susp done and i need something to ride...

the quad has a 39 pwk on it. it has a 55 pilot, airscrew out 1.5 turns, dej needle on 3rd clip(recommend by ct racing), and a 175 main.

the top end is brand new. i can't even get the thing to start, well it started once when i raised the pilot from a 52 to a 55. it idles for a few seconds and then died and will not refire.

any ideas of around where i should be. i want this thing to run like the yz250. one/two kicks and idles.

doesn't sound like a jetting issue. make sure it's getting gas and has a good plug thats gapped properly.

I agree with cdrookie. That thing should start just the way it is, I'd be looking for a different problem.

lol, yeah there was another problem! i forgot to tighten the main jet access nut on the bottom of the float bowl, went back to try again and found a puddle of fuel...

started and idled. i just heated the jug up this time....

your choke pull may not be adjusted right either...mine would not idle either...i turned it out a few times and fired first kick and will idle all day long
