Can't find a kickstart 450r

I went to 3 dealerships in my area. One of them has it, but they wont give me even close to enough for my 1 month old 400ex. The other places will give me enough for my trade-in but only have the electric start. They told me I can reserve an 09, but that will take months. I'm trying to race and dont want a bulky battery and a starter that might not be able to crank over a high compression piston. Is kick start worth losing like an extra $1000? I want a newer style I cant get an 04 or 05 either.

Just be glad one of your stealerships has one, I had to have mine shipped in from a dealer 500 miles away.

Buy the ER and add the kicker for $300 or $400 dollars.

The only thing that scares me is that honda might try a new transmission for 09 or change something and it wont work right. Just like they changed the front end of the new ones for worse and the 06 transmission problems. I know there is nothing wrong with the 08's, will the 08 drop in value as soon as the 09's come out soon?

09 is rumored and said to be the same as the 08.

Any Honda dealer can have a model that you want shipped to there dealership from another. They'll tell you they can't do it,but it's BS they can. I have a buddy thats done it for me twice.
