On a dirtbike. :D I want a 450, either a CRF or a KX. What do you think my chances are???

keep an i out, i got my 2005 Crf 450 with pro action suspension, pro circuit pipe, and some odds and ends for 3300 otd, so its deffiatly out there, just got to look

around here you can get honda 450s cheap. any other bike youll pay pretty good. my friend just bought an 03 crf450 for 2300 but its a little rough. a local shop just sold a '02 that was all stock but nice, low hours for being that old.. sold that for 2200. you can easy get a nice bike with that much. you'll get a 450 cheaper than a 250:rolleyes:


with the 450 bikes, its like the 600cc and 1000 crotch rockets. they're all WAY to close to pick a better one. they're all about the same. id say which ever you can find a better deal on. or try to ride both of them and see which one feels better. ive always liked honda for the reliability though:devil:

Stay away from suzuki 450 bikes 06 and older bad cranks and bearings..go with a honda or yamaha,

really? i was looking at an 05 RMZ 450. looked really nice. is it a rewally common problem on the rmz450 or something that can happen to any bike? my friends crank bearings went out on his crf450r

Anything can happen to any used bike you never know how the other guy maintained it. I know at least 4 guys who got those in those years brand new from the dealer and problems with little or no time on the bike. I hate to say it but its true, I'm die hard suzuki fan as well. Had an 04 rmz250 blew up 3 time in one summer,06 ltr Awesome machine never failed and an 08 ltr currently for sale. Also an excellent machine.

the cr500 is in the scary department lol at least the 450 is more managable but still those things are just amazing how much power they have. If you havent owned several bigger dirtbikes before I would get a crf250r.

i think just about any 450s have not so long lasting crank bearings, and is a good idea to atleast replace the bearing every once in a while.
