yfz shocks are not even close to the right length for the 400

little advise, if your swapping parts stay with the brand your vehicle is. 450r fronts are almost the same length and travel and more people are running them with sucess.

I have had both and the yfz shocks work MUCH better for me than the 450r shocks. They are closer in length to the 400 ex shocks than the 450r shocks are. Without work the 450r shocks raise your ride height and are much stiffer when riding trails.
The downside to the YFZ shocks are they are much harder to install because you have to machine quite a bit off of the top eye.

450r shocks lowered my ride height with the preload rings almost all the way out but i adjusted it back and its the same as with stock 400ex shocks
