250r hood scope on 300ex

i have a 300ex and i have saw so many pics of 300ex's with a 250r maier hood scope and i thought it looked nice so i ordered one and it doesnt fit right.... the top of the hood scope where you mount it into the plastics dont bend down to the plastic idk what to do... any ideas?

I do not think it is a direct bolt on. It take time and a heat gun to bend it to shape to match and make it worK.

In this link a guy talks about making it fit but it on the maier front.
