I have 14/36 right now. I've only tried it once but it seemed to work good. I'll be trying it out more this weekend against some 450's so I'll see. I had 14/38 but I found myself shifting way too much. It was quick off the line with 14/38.

14/38 does me good on the track, the 440's torque really pulls though

Ruby with a 440 I bet 15/38 or 14/36 would really rip.

I have 15/38 with my 440 stroker and it works really well. Im about to try 15/36 and see what its like.

I run a 14/38 with 18" rears. I think I might go to a 36 on the rear. It does go through the gears fast!! but I can stay in 3rd the corners and 4th in the straights. 15/38 was just to tall and seem to bog a bit but I do ride a track that is usually pretty deep loam.

Yeah the terrain would make a big difference. Most of the tracks I've ran so far get rock hard by the end of the day so you can flat out haul. Drew I bet 15/36 would be great. I tried that for a while last race but I don't have quite enough motor to push it.

if anyone wants to request reasonable gearing and tire sizes also your RPM if you have a rev box I can tell you how fast you will go in each gear and your shift drop for each gear. Also include the year of the quad

Ya I agree if you are on a hard track you mighttry thr 15/38 or 15/36. I might give the 15/38 another try. Last time my clutch was BEAT :ermm: and slipped alot after my 3rd lap.
