they work wonderful. however, they don't sell the short canistered version anymore. now they sell the long one. it's pretty much the same thing, but the can. is twice the length and it's quieter

I like this system, I liked the look and sound for years. I have the system on a '01 300EX and on my 250X/350X conversion. I had the megaphone part modified to fit a 350X Powroll conversion headpipe. The system give you a spark arrestor with the endcap. You can adjust the system by adding and removing disk, to help with back pressure to increase low end and top end. It has a nice low rumble when idling around and get louder as you apply gas. Which is nice for when you need a quieter system around people and still give good power on the trail.

with the cap on and a lot of disks in, you're looking at your average high grade pipe (hmf, pro circuit, etc.) if you take the cap off and jet it to that, you'll be looking at a decently loud, low-end power pipe (like a sparks)

I am looking for someone that has the shorty system. I need to part number stamped in the back side of the muffler/silencer bracket. I like to have the shorty for my current project.

Or does anyone remember what the supertrapp part number was for the full system.

Like in the picture.

TC/Supertrapp doesn't manufacture the shorty anymore.

It does not meet, or even come close to, the dB limitations of the main racing organizations.

Is there a reason you want the short cannister over the long cannister? The 300ex already has loads of torque.

I like the look of it better, because the end of the long one is so close to the back of grabbar. And I like the sounds of the shorty. I not looking to race it and I figured the shorty with end cap would quiet down like the current system. Plus I have the long one on two of my other bikes.

I do not know if the Suppertrapp short is louder then the long silencer or not, with the disc and end cap. The video on Supertrapps website of it on a ATC350X it did not seem loader then mine.

I do know that the TC systems are louder because it does not use the disc and end cap, he has his own end cap. And with this comment, I think he agrees with that.
