buy a 250x keyholder off the 87' model from ur dealer or used from someone on here......you dont have to cut anything and they make the 300's look 10x better.....ill post a pic when mine comes in the mail sometime this week.

Thanks, are you keeping the light or you taking it off? I want to leve mine on because I ride most of the time till dark so I need the light. How much did that keyholder cost? Thanks!

yes you can keep your light on still, and they are about 15.00 from the local dealer....do a search in the body section for "ignition" and theres some pics there....

i got a 1" drill bit or (i think) and drilled into the side of my gas tank plastic.. (right below the handlebars.. make sure theres plenty of room from the tank so you dont hit it and the ignition fits in).. I took the light off cuz the darn things busted anyways and looks like crap without the plastic.

When you drill it though how does it stay in there without moving or coming out?

Why we are talkin about 300ex's what is the best exhaust for it? I was looking at the WB E series pro-meg.. but it is a little out of my budget I think. I also want to know what is a good tire for the mud, snow, and just dirt?

ya that and the yoshi are really top of the line, but a sweet pipe, for only liek 300 or less is the pro circut t4..its nasty, go for it, and about tires go with 20" or 22" razrs on the rear i got em...they hook up like mad, or if jsut mud snow and sand go for the realtors

hmf pipes are real good and pretty cheap too....try realtors for sand/snow or something like that...never really seen razrs in the snow so i cant say

hmf slip on is a good pipe... if you want a headpipe since hmf doesent make one a white brothers headpipe fits perfectly its what i have on mine and i love it. makes it a full system sound awesome too. a little on the loud side though.

I dont like how the HMF pipe looks... I do like the procircuit t-4 thought, but I wish i had 550 to get the full exhaust from Yoshimura! Does the HMF slip on really give you up to 6hp though? I also wanted to know would going from a 22 inch tire to a 20 inch and putting on a 36 tooth in the back and 14 in the front gain me any speed? I heard it gains a little on the top end and doesnt effect your bottom end?

I have the WB pro-meg, with head pipe. I can hang right with the 400's until I run out of gears. Then they leave me behind. Now the only thing that is keeping me slow is the suspension. I have pretty much decided that I need to upgrade to a 400ex or a Cannondale. More power and better suspension to start with so I wont have to upgrade right a way.

What exactly does the full yoshimura system do? I know it gives buttom and mid power but what about top end?

300exCrazy

i dont think the hmf gives you the numbers that they claim.. but it defanatly gives you a good increase.. more torque and just overall power. but then again i have a white bros headpipe on mine too. dont know how just the slip on would work.
