I was wondering why almost every not factory backed rider is choosing honda to race at the pro class? Is it only the engine that is more reliable or are the ergonomics just better? Here in Europe the pro's race mostly Yamaha and that's just the opposite of the pro's in the US. Does someone have an explanation for it?

Because Honda is just more reliable, less maint., and a better all around quad. Need I say more...:D

Hes not saying pros in general he is saying the Privateers who recieve no factory support generally choose honda. I think its because you can get big hp numbers out of the motors more easily then the other motors. Thats just a guess I dont actually know for sure if thats the reason.

They are still quite big though... Watching MX races and such I see more Honda's still than anything, next would be Suzuki.

i understand what hes saying. im just saying you still dont see many privateers on honda in my opinion i would have to say suzuki. if anyone rides a honda its personal preference because they dont have a whole lot over the competition to be honest.

The Honda's have more HP and torque and go faster than the YFZ I know that for a fact from dyno's.

maybe its because parts are twice as cheap as any other brand...I know front fenders for my zuki cost about as much as a whole set does for a honda.

Where in Europe do you live? In England Honda still rule the roost, then suzuki and Yamaha.

I live in Holland, I know other brands are coming a bit up know but still yamaha has like 60 to 70% of the field.

Out of 44 motos yesterday at the National, 27 wins came aboard a honda.

On the pro side, the Honda is cheaper to race and promotes products that build the bulk of their sponsors sales. Its pretty sad when guys that do run a honda refuse to list honda as the brand they are riding at sign up due to NO support from Honda to the series.

Those sweet stickers really do add hp!!!!

Around here honda and suzuki seem to be running most of the ama stuff as well. At the last high point I almost had to search to find a yfz.

Because Honda is a winner, LOL.

not "every one" thinks the same. IMO I think the yfz's look the best. Fastest, I'd take an LTR.
