Thinking about buying this as a little project and then selling it for a profit.

It's a 97' 300ex, here's what the ad says:

"1997 Honda 300ex bike runs good has FMF exhuast and jet kit, DG front bumber, DG nerf Bars and grab bar. Bike runs good "

$800 OBO is what he's asking.

Is it worth my time?

800 for a 97? I would think that a bike even that old would be worth a little more. I would be weary as it could be close to blowin up and not just in the top end but the bottom end could be bad as well. I personally would have to check it over from top to bottom before i bought it

I talked to him last night and he said he needed to sell it soon due to financial reasons, so I think he just wants it gone ASAP.

I wouldn't buy it. No one wants 300ex anymore, it would be a sob to sell.
