carb question plz help

my quad has been sitting for over a year and i need to know what to do about the carb and whether i should just put carb cleaner thru it or take it out to clean it

carb cleaner is a crock of s h i t. it doesnt do anything but loosen up the crap and float it around. oldfashion elbow greese, cant get much better than that. and the ex carb is the easiest most accessible carb to get to and clean IMO. besides that evil air screw.... oh well. NO CLEANER lol just take it out and see how it looks

the air screw fine tunes the pilot circuit. If you are asking if you can just spray carb cleaner into it then no it wouldnt do its job. You would have to take it apart to clean it.

its easy 2 take carb off i only have 2 take the black plastic off and i dont even have 2 pull the tank i can can wiggle mine out and i would recomend takin it apart and take jets out and clean them

Two strokes have air screws a 400ex carb has a fuel screw because it is on a four stroke.
