in am buying a 2004 yfz 450 and would like to have some questions answered.

1 )is there anay difference between a 2007 yfz and a 2004?

2) anay maintance i should be aware of?

3) to accelerate to quad do you have to twist the handle or is there a throdel?

4) Is there anaything i should be aware of befor buying

Not tryin to be a jerk here....but if you don't even know that all quads come with thumb throttle I'm not sure I'd put you any where near a 450

well my last quad was a banshee but i sold that..ive riden a yfz 450 befor...but ive see the yfz with the twist handle..just wanted to know if it came like that

if you can ..please answer my questions

1.The 2007 is a true 450cc quad and the 04 is a 439cc and on the 2007 they did the oil mod. It was like 70some more changes but I dont want to type all of them.They did the changes on the 06 but the oil mod.

2 Check the depression plug on the head. see what shape the fenders are in that can kinda tell how its been riden.

3.No they dont come with a twist throttle they come with a tumb throttle..

4.Start it too see how it sounds and ride it.
