crank seal problem

I have had the crank seal behind the flywheel come out two times in less than a month.any Idea why

Not on a 250R ??? how can it get past the stator plate.
You mean the seal is getting damaged some how where it touchs the crank.

The flywheel side seal, if you drive it in to far will touch the cage on the main bearing & in the end will damage the seal lips. One thing, that when you do this, the spring on the back side of the seal lip will come off & either get in the bearing or chew up the seal lips.
I've seen one engine that the seal was in to far & it ended up messing up the ball cage on the bearing & then the bearing failed. The weard part about that, the seal was still good, sealing & the bearing eat up, who would beleave that, but it happened.
