03 400ex mx vs. 06 450r stock

I had a 03 440ex with tcs triple rate shock /rezzies all around. It had +2 a-arms and sat just like a ltr450. It had a very plush ride and jumped great. I just picked up a 450r and I was wondering how an older 400ex after market suspension compares to a newer 450r stock suspension. I'm riding this weekend as I'm just wondering what to expect.

any aftermarket suspension will be better than stock 450r suspension.

the 450 suspension will be very stiff compared to what your used to..............Save up some $$ and send your 450 suspension to Gt Thunder. it will feel great then
