is it possible to get a lighter action out of the thumb throttle? adjustment, or lighter spring? i have to stop after a few hard laps cuz my thumb get so dern cramped. i may consider a twist throttle, but not for now.

you can take the spring out of the thumb lever, then take the black cover off the carb, get a long screwdriver and find the throttle return spring on the throttle shaft. pry the spring tab away from the body und let it spring around about 1 turn and it makes a world of difference. the stock position is way to STIFF. make sure your cable moves freely.

I got the same advise from you sc400ex_rider and it made a world of a differance as you say.

I could not believe how hard it was compared to my friends z400 and rap 660.

Now its like butter
