Will this fan work?

Hey. we had this engine sitting around that used to be in a go-kart. we had a fan on it to help keep it cool.

I just took it off, and it's a nice one. It's a puller, and pushes the air down/right/wherever yo decide to aim it.

I wanted to bolt it on my 400ex with a toggle switch. I think it would do wonders for the oil cooler.

My problem, it's an 8in fan.. even if it's big, will it still fit? I figure it'll cover the whole oil cooler that way. even though its a little on the large side.

so if anyone knows if it will fit, please let me know! thanks

There should be no need for a fan on a stock bore 400ex. I think it would be pointless.

i was riding through some tight trails the other day and the motor got really hot.. had to shut it down to let it cool.

most of my riding is open, but i like the back-up of the fan in the trails.

anyone know if it will fit?

just take the fan out to ur quad and see if it will fit around the oil tank some how.

going to be hard to make it fit i think. i have a 4" spal fan that is perfect. oh and it is for sale. mounts for it and all

not to intrested in buying it.. this isnt something ill spend money on, i was only doing it for the fact i found it, so if it fits, great, if not, oh well.

how is anyone gonna know if a 8" fan will fit? just go take it out to your 400 and see if it will.

i wouldve, but im at my dads shop for the day. wont be home till later, and was hoping someone used or has sized up an 8' and if it works.
